Panel Picks Best Pizza In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Thinking about stopping for some pizza for dinner tonight? A panel of celebrity judges put their taste buds to the test to pick the best pizza in the Pittsburgh area.

Dozens of pizza shops from all over the region tossed their pies into the ring and entered B-94's contest.

Earlier today, the B-94 morning crew and some celebrity judges including Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato tasted a lot of pizzas – picking winners from the North, South, East and West.

Best Pizza Contest:

  • North Winner: Mandy's Pizza (North Side)
  • South Winner: Giovanni's Pizza & Pesto (Dormont)
  • East Winner: Tierno's Pizzeria* (Plum Boro)
  • West Winner: Gianni's Pizza (Coraopolis)
  • * -- Voted best overall

So whose slice was voted the best in the 'Burgh? The overall winner was Tierno's Pizzaria in Plum.
