Pirates Trade Nate McLouth

For the second consecutive year, the Pirates have traded their so-called "face of the franchise." Last year it was Jason Bay; now it's All-Star center fielder Nate McLouth. The team has traded McLouth to the Atlanta Braves.  FULL STORY: Pirates Trade All-Star To Braves | VIDEO: Pirates GM On Trade

Saving Money

Last year, the Bucs had the best outfield in all baseball. Bay, Nady and McLouth are now gone. Bucs are committed to saving money.

Terrible Decisions

BAD MOVE!!! I am really sick and tired of rooting for a team that always lets me down. I am strictly a Pittsburgh fan, but the time has come that I can not even cheer for the Pirates anymore because of their terrible decisions. They go and trade Nate when they should have gotten rid of Capps. Nate was one of the best players on that team. Of course, the Pirates always do get rid of the good players...I have come to the conclusion that they are just a losing team and that we will not have a winning season in my lifetime. Maybe the Pirates should do some readjusting with their management. Someone needs to wake up, cause some little league team could defeat them!

Done With The Pirates

I'm done with the Pirates. I've grown up watching the Pirates and now I lost all interest in the team (management). Why would you trade an All Star in his mid-20s for unproven prospects. Maybe the next trade they should try to get some management prospects, somebody who will put a winning team on the field.

Trade A Debacle

I am a regular at the ballfield, watching our Bucs, and cheering them on. When Nate first arrived, he was my pick for the "new" star. How do you, in all conscionceness, do this to our team? You deflated us last year with the Jason Bay/Xavier Nady trade, and now this debacle. We loved our outfield, and our boy Nate. I think you need to get some real fans opinions when you decide to do a hatchet job to our players, and still expect the fans to come. You will be losing a lot of fans.

Greed & Dishonesty

Greed, dishonesty... Didn't someone in management say last fall they expected Nate to retire a Pirate?
