New Camera Makes Smiles Picture Perfect
If it's hard for you to get the perfect smile in family photos, there is a new digital camera that has a feature you'll love.
The camera makes sure you get the picture perfect smile every time.
It can even turn frowns upside down, even if there are multiple people in the picture.
It's called smile recognition technology and is offered by the Sony Cybershot.
The camera won't take a picture of a person frowning or making a face, because it doesn't recognize a smile.
"We think it's a very cool feature. You set the smile mode, select the face, press the shutter, and the camera actually waits until the person smiles to take the photo," says Paul Reynolds of Consumer Reports.
There's also the Sony Cybershot DSC-W170.
The camera can literally turn a frown upside down, digitally transforming a pout into a smile.
And it even recognizes the person in the picture who isn't smiling and knows which face to add the smile effects to.
Similar technology is also offered on the Olympus FE-320 and FE-340.
