Does It Really Do That: Snore Stop Devices

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― You've seen them on television… hundreds of products that claim they can stop you or a loved one from snoring. We tested two of them to find out --- "Does It Really Do That?"

First up was the $20 chin snore strap that was bought on the internet.

The strap has velcro at the top so you can adjust it.

After a week, our tester Carole Johnston of Bethel Park said, "I think it helped somewhat. I would say fifty percent but I still would like to find something better."

Next up was an anti-snore therapeutic ring that sells for $50.

It applies pressure to the acupressure points in your left hand's pinky finger that connect through the arm to the heart, nose and throat.

Our tester Linda Grice of Allison Park said believe it or not - the ring works.

"It did stop the snoring and after about a week or so, right before waking up there might be a little bit of noise," said Grice. "So I figure if you can stop the snoring when people are trying to go to sleep then you've got the problem solved."
