Gander Mountain Recalls Treestands

WASHINGTON (KDKA) ― Hunters beware: before you head into the woods, you'd better make sure your treestand isn't on a recent recall list.

Gander Mountain is recalling some 13,000 of its hang-on fixed position treestands because the clasp can open – causing the stand to fall to the ground.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the company received two reports of falls – one of the people suffered a broken arm and pelvis.

The recall affects the Hang-On Fixed Position Treestands, 2008 models GMT101 and GMT103, which were sold at Gander Mountain stores from July of last year to this past July.   Complete Recall Details

If you have one of these treestands, you should stop using it and return it to the store for a refund or a newer model.

For more information, call Gander Mountain toll-free at 1-888-542-6337 on weekdays from 8am-10pm or from 9am-8pm on weekends or visit  GanderMountain.com
