Automatic Shower Cleaner - Does It Really Do That?

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― When it comes to things you like to do, chances are, cleaning the shower is not high on your list.

So who wouldn't love a product that promises to do the work for you?

KDKA Consumer Editor Yvonne Zanos put the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner to the test.

It claims to clean your shower at the touch of a button.

For $24 you get a battery operated (batteries included) scrubbing bubbles sprayer with two bottles of cleaner.

Scrubbing Bubbles promises to clean even tough grime in 14 days.

Our results show it did not get rid of all of the soap scum, mold and mildew as promised but it did make a dent.

Also, one of our testers was bothered with the streaks the scrubbing bubbles cleaner left behind.

It's not quite what the commercial promises, if you scour the directions, you'll see they do recommend the occasional wipe down to give scrubbing bubbles a hand.

So, although we can't say it really does do that... it still does a pretty good job.

We love the smell and it's nice to know if you aren't working on your shower, scrubbing bubbles is.
