Penn St. Shuts Out Minnesota 20-0
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (KDKA/AP) ―
Daryll Clark threw for 287 yards and a touchdown as the Penn State Nittany Lions shut out Minnesota 20-0.
Evan Royster rushed for 135 yards on 23 carries, but Derek Moye torched the Gophers' defense all day long with big play after big play.
Moye finished the day with six catches for 120 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter for the first of two touchdowns the team scored.
Before the game, Penn State banned tailgating and urged fans to carpool or walk to Beaver Stadium after a snowstorm forced the closure of most grass lots, eliminating 20,000 parking spaces.
Almost six inches of snow covered the lots by Friday afternoon.
