STATE COLLEGE (KDKA/AP) ―

The running back finished with 41 yards rushing and 61 yards receiving.
Royster turned a short throw into a 49-yard touchdown on the game's opening drive, and added a 12-yard scoring run to give the Nittany Lions a 14-0 lead in the second quarter.
Syracuse unsuccessfully tried to throw off the Nittany Lions' defense, at times alternating starter Greg Paulus and backup Ryan Nassib at quarterback.
