Clarion University Student Stabbed At Dining Hall

CLARION (KDKA) ― Two students at Clarion University went to the hospital after a fight.

It happened at the Eagle Commons dining hall.

A spokesperson for the university tells KDKA-TV two students were involved in an ongoing fight.

The police chief says freshman LaVaughn Robinson supposedly shoved the other student and knocked him to the floor.

The other student allegedly then stabbed Robinson twice in the leg with a knife he had on him.

"This type of thing doesn't happen here and it was a lot of confusion at the time," Ron Wilshire, a spokesperson for the university, said. "Additional police were called in just to be sure, just to be safe."

Both students are expected to be released from the hospital.

It's unclear if charges will be filed.

The school does have a policy against carrying weapons and the student with the knife was in violation of that policy.
