Parents Seek Answers In Fatal Butler Co. Crash

CLAY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) ― There's an appeal for help to the public today from the parents of a young woman killed in a car accident last week in Butler County.

On Nov. 11, Christina Williams died when officials say her Ford Escort was hit head-on by a Mitsubishi GT that crossed the center line at 8:21 p.m. on Route 308 in Clay Township.

According to state police, Williams was heading southbound on Route 308 when a car driven by a 16-year-old heading northbound crossed the center line slamming into her.

"The state police say she was at no fault," said Robert Williams, the victim's father. "She was minding her own business, every law was being obeyed."

Three teenage boys in the other car were severely injured and Williams died at the scene. Investigators say they believe the northbound car may have been drag racing with a third vehicle.

Now, less than a week after the crash there are more flowers on the roadside memorial, but still few answers for her heart broken parents.

"She didn't even want to drive, she waited till she was 19 to get her license," Williams' father told KDKA. "She only had it a month and a half. I'd like to know why this happened to her. She didn't deserve it. If anyone knows anything or saw a white Mitsubishi or white Eagle Talon … please come forward."

Meanwhile, the victim's mother, Tammie, says her daughter has missed out on so many opportunities because of what happened.

"She's never going to have a kid. I'll never see my granddaughter that looks like her. I'll never get to walk her down the aisle," said Williams.

State police are asking anyone in the area of Route 422, Route 8 or Route 308 between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. last Tuesday and saw a white two-door drag racing to call them.
