Butler Co. Doctor Accused Of Abuse Faces Trial

Dr. David Evanko, of Butler, is accused of sexually assaulting boy scouts.

A doctor and former Boy Scout leader in Butler County has been ordered to stand trial on charges he sexually abused boys.
Dr. David Evanko, 55, is facing charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory rape, corruption of minors and indecent exposure.
The alleged crimes started in the late 1980s and continued in the mid-1990s.
During the hearing, witnesses took the stand. A 31-year-old alleged victim testified that alcohol and sex acts were permitted inside the scout leader's home.
The defense attorney challenged the credibility of the witness, saying he was a convicted drug dealer and addict.
Another alleged victim testified that sex acts between him and the doctor happened at the home of the doctor's sister.
