Teacher Who Allegedly Sent Explicit Texts In Court

BUTLER (KDKA) ― A Butler Senior High School English teacher who is accused of sending inappropriate text messages to two students is headed to trial.

Butler Township police say Christine Martin, 33, of Cranberry Township allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to a 16-year-old boy – including a photo of a woman exposing her breasts.

Investigators say Martin also sent an inappropriate text message to a 17-year-old girl.

Martin, who has since been suspended from her teaching duties, is facing charges including corruption of a minor, unlawful contact with a minor and obscene and other sexual materials and performances.

She appeared in court for her preliminary hearing this afternoon.
