Kristine Sorensen
Kristine Sorensen joined KDKA-TV as a reporter/anchor in April 2003. She can be seen anchoring Pittsburgh Today Live and anchoring KDKA-TV News at 5pm alongside Ken Rice.
Kristine returned to Pittsburgh where she was Washington County Bureau Chief after being a reporter/anchor in Dallas, Texas. She earned a Master's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a Bachelor's Degree in Government with a minor in dance from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. She received a graduate marketing certificate from Southern Methodist University.
Kristine was honored with an Associated Press Investigative Reporting Award for her "Restaurant Ratings" series. She also won a Golden Quill Award for her series of reports on West Virginia P.O.W. Jessica Lynch.

She has studied dance since she was a child and performed with dance companies for 10 years.
Kristine is on the Board of Trustees for the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and has also written about dance for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. She is also an active supporter of The March of Dimes and has served as their spokesperson.
Kristine is married to KDKA-TV Investigative Reporter Marty Griffin. They have two daughters, Sophia and Chloe.
