Anchors

Jennifer Antkowiak

Jennifer Antkowiak returned to KDKA in September 2009 to co-anchor the KDKA-TV Morning News alongside co-anchor Rick Dayton.

Jennifer got her start in news at WJET-TV in Erie and spent time as a news anchor, reporter -- and she even did the weather!

Jennifer first joined KDKA in 1993, starting her career here as an investigative reporter.  She earned her first Emmy with her investigation into allegations of radioactive contamination at a nuclear plant in Apollo.  She also exposed dangerous elevators in the Public Safety Building in Pittsburgh.

She joined her then co-anchor Ken Rice in 1995 on the set of KDKA-TV News at 5:00pm -- covering such stories as the September 11th terrorist attacks, the Quecreek Mine rescue and Super Bowl XXX in Phoenix.

After leaving the anchor desk in the spring of 2006, Jen formed her own multi-media company geared to provide information to help make life easier for busy women and their families.  Jennifer also wrote a book designed to help caregivers find time to take better care of themselves.

Jen returned to KDKA in September 2009 as co-anchor to the morning newscasts.  In addition to her anchor duties, Jen also plans to present reports and special programs that will offer helpful information for families and caregivers.

Jennifer and her husband, Joe, have five children.
