The host of the KDKA Morning News with Larry Richert since 2001, Larry Richert is taking on a new challenge: doing the jobs of hardworking people all across the Pittsburgh area!
Born in Millvale and raised in McCandless Township, Larry is a graduate of both North Allegheny High School and Clarion University.
Larry and his wife Cindi have three children.
In addition to his "Larry On the Job" segment, airing Fridays on KDKA-TV News at 5pm, Larry can be heard on KDKA Radio weekday mornings from 5am until 9am as part of the KDKA Morning News Team.
Larry also serves as the voice of NFL Films/Steelers Highlights and is active in dozens of charities.
Larry is also an Internet sensation on the website, YouTube. His popular video clip shows the role Larry played in helping to "launch" the public singing career of a very talented 8-year-old. The clip, from "The Wake Up Show with Larry Richert (circa 1988)," features a young Christina Aguilara!
