Worker Injured In Aliquippa Construction Accident

ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) ― A construction worker is recovering after a vehicle reportedly flipped onto him in an accident Sunday afternoon in Beaver County.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. at Route 51 and Sheffield Avenue in Aliquippa.

Officials with Beaver County 911 say that construction crews were demolishing a building along Route 51 when a heavy piece of machinery fell over.

The worker was taken to an area hospital with head injuries.

There is no word on what caused the accident.
