Motorcyclist Who Crashed After Chase Hospitalized

NEW BRIGHTON (KDKA) ― A motorcyclist who had been fleeing from police is in the hospital following an accident in Beaver County early this morning.

The crash happened along Route 18 in New Brighton around 1am.

Police say they had been trying to stop the driver, but ended their pursuit before the crash.

According to authorities, the driver failed to negotiate a bend in the road, fell off the motorcycle and hit a car.

The driver of the car was not injured.

Officials have not released any information on the condition of the motorcyclist.
