Local School Gets On The Move With Walking Trail

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ―

Students at one local high school are getting on the move with a new walking trail on their campus.

Students at Seton LaSalle High School opened their new walking track on October 19 with a special ceremony.

Last month, Seton LaSalle principal, Sr. Patricia Laffey told KDKA that the nature trail has been set up in the shape of a staple.

The new trail is part of Pittsburgh's "America On The Move" effort to improve local residents' health and quality of life.

"We saw this as a wonderful opportunity to get the kids healthy and active," said Dr. John Jakicic, of America On The Move.

The trail also open to parents, staff, faculty and the community.
