Burkett Elementary School Gets "Moving"

ROBINSON TWP. (KDKA) ― America is on the move again and this time a school in the Montour school district is getting some help.

Burkett Elementary School got a $5,000 grant from UPMC, Heinz and DelMonte to buy new exercise equipment.

They'll be buying pedometers and the video-dance game "Dance Dance Revolution" for the elementary school students.

Gym teacher Manny Manolis and Principal Dr. Joseph Finley were there to accept the award along with members of the health department.

You can easily participate in America on the Move.

With just a few simple changes you can lose weight and get healthy.

Just walk an extra 2,000 steps a day and you're on your way.
