Burchfield Elementary School Gets On The Move

(KDKA) Some local students were honored this week for getting 'On The Move.'

Burchfield Elementary School was named March's 'Schools On The Move' winner, which recognizes area schools that find new and innovative ways to improve the health of kids.

So KDKA Meteorologist Valerie Abati visited Burchfield Elementary, located in the Shaler Area School District, on Thursday to present the students with a special award and give a special presentation about the weather.

The school received a special plaque, which will hang in the hallway for everyone to see.
